Members of the secretive Bilderberg Club – monarchs, heads of state and CEOs of major corporations – decide to raise the gold price on world markets to avert another global crisis. Though this will dent the value of leading currencies and cause inflation, it will help the economies of many countries. Despite this secret agreement the gold price suddenly starts to plummet. Someone is buying up the metal in order to profit when prices rise, and it has to be a member of the club. In order to identify the traitor the club hires a detective of world renown – the maestro Drongo.
